OMNI-TAPE® is a twin hook and loop tape that incorporates both the hook and the loop on the same side in rows. This single-component fastener with its alternating rows of nylon hook and loop on the same surface side allows it to stick to itself. Whilst the closure is not as strong as conventional tape it is strong enough for most applications in clothing etc, it can be sewn and washed like any other tape.
This tape has gained huge popularity in dressmaking and costume production especially in the film industry, it not only offers both sides on one roll, but also saves on waste and because the soft loop buffers the hooks snagging and lint build-up is also greatly reduced. Note that this being a self engaging fastener a 25 metre length will provide you with a 12.5m closure.
