But what is hook and loop - often referred to as Velcro®? It's a semi-permanent attachment method made of two strips: one with tiny hooks, the other with soft loops. When pressed together, they create a secure, reusable bond.

In the premium and basic ranges, the polyamide fastener retains excellent durability, capable of being opened and closed with only a 50% strength loss after 10,000 cycles. This makes sew-on VELCRO® Brand tape ideal for garments, upholstery, medical use, soft furnishings, and any application requiring frequent fastening and release.

Specialist options include military-grade tapes and low-profile plastic hook tapes, designed for niche or industrial uses. Standard sew on tapes are supplied on 25m rolls of either the hook or loop side. Some plastic fasteners are supplied on 50m rolls to accommodate larger manufacturing needs.

All VELCRO® Brand sew-on fasteners are washable and dry-clean safe, offering long-term performance in a variety of environments. While black and white are the standard colours, a selection of other colours is also available. Custom colours may be supplied to order, subject to minimum quantities.
